    Children's Summer Reading Program Details:

    The children's Summer Reading Challenge was for children ages 3 through entering 5th grade:

    • They set their own goal (of at least 3 titles)
    • Children's date to come back for a completion prize is this Friday,  August 28th!

    The statewide Rhode Island Summer Reading Program is supported by the RI Office of Library and Information Services, with funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

     

     

    Teen Summer Reading Program Details:

    Teens entering grades 6-12 could register for the Teen Summer Reading program. Teens who registered made their own reading goal (it had to be at least one book) and got a summer reading player’s handbook with their registration quest complete.

    Teens - make sure to return your handbook by the end of the Summer Reading Program on August 28th. You will get a completed sticker, and one entry for a grand prize. Teens will also get their pick of a drawstring bag and 10 stickers for completing the summer program!

    Adult Summer Reading Program Details:

    Adults who participated were entered to win one of these great prizes:

      • Prize option #1:    Inflatable kayak
      • Prize option #2:    $100 gift certificate to Dave’s
      • Prize option #3:    $50 gift certificate to the Bean Barn

    There was 3 book minimum to receive (3) raffle tickets, with one additional raffle ticket for each book read/listened to after that. To be entered in the raffle, logs had to be completed and turned by:  1 PM on Saturday, August 23rd to the Reference Desk at the Coventry Public Library, 1672 Flat River Road, Coventry, RI.

    We are busy tallying the results, and will be doing the drawing shortly. We will reach out to the winner of each prize by phone or by email by August 29th. Call 401-822-9105 with questions.
