Summer is here and it’s time to enjoy yourself—but that doesn’t mean you can’t use this time to work towards goals, help others, and still have fun! The Coventry Public Library’s Teen Summer Reading Program for youth in grades 6-12 is about to begin, are you ready?
Registration begins: Monday, June 25th
Register in-person with a librarian in the Youth Services department.
Duration of the Program: Monday, July 9th—Saturday, August 18th
How to participate:
Register in-person with a librarian in Youth Services and receive your LIBRARIES ROCK! materials. Complete 5 activities (and spend 30 minutes per activity) on the LIBRARIES ROCK! sheet attached. Activities will vary from reading various kinds of materials or performing certain tasks at home or at the CovPubLib!
One of the best parts of the program..?
The book(s) your school requires you to read over the summer count towards these tasks, too!
When you have completed 5 of the tasks on your LIBRARIES ROCK! sheet, you can submit your sheet and receive 5 raffle tickets to enter for one of our final prizes. You can complete any 5 activities on your sheet, but if you are able to complete 5 activities in a row—you’ll earn an extra raffle ticket!
When you can begin redeeming & entering your raffle tickets: Monday, July 31st
Final Prize Raffle Will Take Place: Saturday, August 25th at 12 p.m.
You do not need to be present for the raffle drawing to
win and claim a prize; we will contact you if you have won.
Feel free to call the Youth Services Department at 401-822-9102 and ask to speak with the Teen Librarian!
