For more than 30 years, LVKC (Literacy Volunteers of Kent County), in partnership with the Coventry Public Library, has helped Adult Basic Literacy and ESL learners improve their literacy skills through one-to-one volunteer tutoring.  LVKC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that depends on donations through grants, and corporate & individual donations.

LVKC is administered by a volunteer Board of Directors whose members are assigned various tasks necessary to maintain the ongoing efforts of LVKC. The Coventry Public Library supplies in-kind contributions such as space, telephone, Internet, copier, and staff time.

The main expenses of the literacy program are operational, training, resource materials, and public relations costs, which includes printing and postage.

Donating to LVKC is quick, easy, and tax-deductible.  We need your support!  Any help you can give will enable us to continue the work of building stronger communities through literacy enrichment.  Please consider making a donation today.
